Hyundai Passenger Loses Life in I-10 Vehicle Crash [Harris County, TX]

Harris County, TX (August 16, 2026) – A Hyundai passenger was killed and three others were injured in an I-10 vehicle crash Friday night.

The authorities said the collision between a BMW, a Honda, a Hyundai, and a tractor truck with a trailer happened on the westbound lanes of the highway, near Freeport Street.

According to the authorities, the truck was parked on the outside shoulder of the highway for a road construction.

The other three vehicles crashed with one another, and the Hyundai spun and rear-ended the tractor-truck’s trailer.

The Honda rolled over into the feeder road, while the BMW spun around on the freeway.

Immediately, the rescuers rushed the Hyundai’s driver and one of the passengers to a hospital. However, its rear passenger was declared dead at the scene.

The Honda’s driver was taken to a hospital in stable condition.

Police said the BMW’s driver was not hurt in the fatal crash.

Investigators said all the involved drivers cooperated with the investigation and none of them showed signs of intoxication.
