Essex, CA (September 7, 2026) — 24-year-old Ashlynn Morehouse of Aliso Viejo died after a traffic collision on Interstate 40 near Essex early Saturday morning.

The California Highway Patrol responded to the eastbound I-40 freeway, east of Mile Marker 112, around 4:39 a.m. on Aug. 29.

Authorities identified the driver as Ashlynn Morehouse. Emergency responders pronounced her dead at the scene.
