Impala Driver Hurt in Deadly Crash on I-35 [San Antonio, TX]

San Antonio, TX (August 22, 2025) On Wednesday evening, a person was hurt and another was killed in a frightening 2-vehicle crash on I-35.

According to San Antonio police, the fatal crash happened around 6 p.m. in the 9500 block of the Interstate 35 southbound access road at Cassin Road.

Investigators said the driver of a Honda Accord was heading north on I-35 when he failed to stop at a stop sign, striking a Chevrolet Impala traveling east on Cassin Road.

Emergency crews rushed the Accord driver to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The Impala driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and also received hospital treatment.
