Police Investigate Solo Vehicle Crash in Kitsap County
Gorst, WA (December 25, 2025) – A devastating crash in Kitsap County shook the community of Gorst on Christmas Eve when a car drove directly through a local coffee stand, sending four individuals to the hospital and causing widespread damage.
According to Washington State Patrol spokesperson Trooper Katherine Weatherwax, the collision occurred the night of December 24 and involved a single vehicle that struck Sadie Mae’s Coffee stand in Kitsap County.
All four individuals in the vehicle sustained injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Initial reports suggest that a medical emergency may have contributed to the crash.
In addition to the building being destroyed, the collision brought down nearby power lines and triggered a sewage spill, prompting a response from the Washington State Department of Ecology.

The owner later confirmed via social media that, while the property suffered major damage, no lives were lost due to the timing of the crash.
