ST. JOSEPH, MO (May 2, 2026) — A motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries Saturday night after a crash at South Belt Highway and Pickett Road involving an SUV.

The collision happened around 8:55 p.m. at South Belt Highway and Pickett Road.

According to Sgt. Patrick Zeamer, investigators determined that a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a white Mazda SUV were involved in the crash.

The impact ejected the motorcyclist from the motorcycle. Authorities said the rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.

Emergency responders transported the motorcyclist to a hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.

Officials have not released additional details about what caused the crash or whether the Mazda driver suffered injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
