Police Investigate Crash on Denman’s Loop Into Bell County Home

BELL COUNTY, TX (May 4, 2026)— A woman suffered serious injuries early Saturday after a vehicle crashed through her Bell County home and pinned her inside a bedroom.

According to Sparta Fire and Rescue, the crash happened around 1:34 a.m. near Denman’s Loop and Waterworks Road.

Officials said a vehicle left the roadway, drove through the residence, and traveled almost entirely through the structure before stopping in a bedroom.

Firefighters said the vehicle pinned the woman between the car and a boat stored near the home’s back wall in the backyard. The crash caused major structural damage and created a difficult rescue situation for emergency crews.

During a search of the property, firefighters found and removed the driver from the vehicle.

Authorities said the driver appeared intoxicated and was the only person inside the vehicle. Emergency responders treated the driver and transported them to a hospital with minor injuries.

After finding the trapped woman, Sparta Fire and Rescue requested help from the Nolanville Fire Department, Temple Fire and Rescue, Belton EMS, and PHI Air Medical.

Officials said the rescue took about 30 to 40 minutes. Belton EMS transported the woman to a landing zone, where PHI Air Medical flew her to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple.

EMS evaluated everyone else inside the home and released them at the scene.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
