Police Investigate Crash on North Ambassador Drive in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO (June 15, 2026)— A motorcyclist suffered critical injuries Sunday evening after a crash on North Ambassador Drive involving a Toyota vehicle in Kansas City’s Northland, according to police.

The crash happened at about 9:45 p.m. at the intersection of Northwest Old Tiffany Springs Road and North Ambassador Drive.

Kansas City Police Department spokesperson Sgt. Phil DiMartino said the Harley-Davidson motorcycle rider was traveling south on North Ambassador Drive and approaching the intersection with a green light.

At the same time, a Toyota vehicle turned into the intersection on a flashing yellow left-turn arrow. Police said the Toyota failed to yield, and the two vehicles collided.

Emergency responders transported the motorcyclist to an area hospital. Officials listed the rider in critical condition early Monday morning.

Police continue to investigate the crash. Authorities said impairment appeared to be a factor.
