Teen Hurt in UTV Crash on Spring Garden Road in Miller County

COLUMBIA, MO (November 6, 2025) – A 44-year-old man from Eldon sustained serious injuries in a UTV crash on Spring Garden Road that occurred late Wednesday night in Miller County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Spring Garden Road, east of Short Road. 

Authorities say the man was operating a 2015 Polaris Razor UTV with a 17-year-old male passenger, also from Eldon, when he attempted a right turn. 

The maneuver caused the UTV to overturn onto its left side.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and transported the adult driver to Lake Regional Hospital with serious injuries. 

The teen passenger was also injured and taken to St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.

According to the official crash report, both individuals were wearing helmets at the time of the rollover. 

The UTV sustained only minor damage, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
