Dog Killed After Two-Vehicle Crash on West Rialto Avenue in San Bernardino
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (May 26, 2026)— A woman was hospitalized, and a dog died Friday night after a two-vehicle crash on West Rialto Avenue in San Bernardino.
Emergency crews responded to the collision around 8:54 p.m. on May 22, 2026, near West Rialto Avenue and South Rancho Avenue.
When firefighters and paramedics arrived, they found both vehicles blocking the intersection. Crews assisted those involved while officers began investigating the crash.
During the investigation, authorities discovered that a dog had died as a result of the collision.
Paramedics transported one female occupant from the vehicle carrying the dog to a hospital with unknown injuries.
Investigators said one of the male drivers became uncooperative with officers at the scene. Officers took him into custody after a brief struggle.
