Injured in a Suspected Drunk Driving Crash? Compassionate Support Is Available
A wrong-way collision can happen in an instant and leave an injured driver facing pain, uncertainty, and unexpected expenses.
Head-on crashes can be especially traumatic because of the force involved, even when authorities initially describe the resulting injuries as non-life-threatening.
Victims may still require follow-up treatment, diagnostic testing, physical therapy, time away from work, or assistance with everyday activities while recovering.
When police suspect alcohol played a role in a crash, the situation can also raise additional questions for the injured person and their family. A criminal investigation involving the other driver is separate from any personal injury or insurance matter that may arise from the collision.
Understanding those different processes can be difficult while someone is also focused on medical treatment and recovery.
Sweet Lawyers provides compassionate support to people injured in serious traffic collisions, including crashes involving suspected impaired drivers.
Our team understands that accident victims often need clear information without added pressure. We take the time to listen carefully, explain the general process in straightforward language, and help clients understand what documentation may be important.
Evidence in a suspected intoxicated-driving collision may include police reports, witness statements, photographs, vehicle damage, surveillance footage, body-camera recordings, toxicology information, and medical records.
Investigators may also review where the vehicles were traveling before impact and whether roadway signs, lighting, or other factors contributed to the crash. Preserving available evidence can help provide a clearer understanding of what occurred.
Injured people may also face medical bills, lost wages, transportation problems, insurance communications, and uncertainty about future treatment.
Sweet Lawyers can help clients organize important information and communicate with insurers while they focus on their health.
