COLUMBIA, MO (July 7, 2026) – Monday morning, an alarming vehicle crash on W Ash Street and N Stadium Boulevard led to injuries.

The incident happened just after 7:00 a.m. on W Ash Street and N Stadium Boulevard.

According to Boone County Joint Communications, both northbound lanes at West Ash Street and North Stadium Boulevard were closed following a two-vehicle crash.

Crews from the Columbia Fire Department responded to the scene. Reports confirmed that one person was taken by Boone Health ambulance after being loaded onto a stretcher.

Both vehicles sustained heavy damage. One vehicle had significant front-end damage, and its airbags deployed.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
