Traffic Stalled after Cajon Pass Auto Accident on Interstate 15 and Highway 138

CAJON PASS, CA (February 26, 2025) – Monday morning, a crippling 2-vehicle crash on Interstate 15 and Highway 138 led to minor injuries.

The incident occurred just after 5:00 a.m. on Highway 138, 2 miles east of Interstate 15.

A crash involving a white Dodge Ram 2500 pickup and a black sedan resulted in heavy front-end damage to both vehicles. Tow trucks and first responders arrived to clear the wreck, and traffic resumed in both directions shortly after the crash. 

Lanes were reopened quickly following a brief closure. Minor injuries were reported, but it is unclear if anyone was transported to a hospital. The exact cause of the collision remains unknown, though speed while navigating a sharp corner is suspected. 

The California Highway Patrol’s Victorville Office is investigating the incident.
