Ferndale, WA (February 13, 2026) — Emergency crews responded to a traffic collision on Interstate 5 near the on- and off-ramps in Ferndale on Wednesday evening.

Officers with the Ferndale Police Department and firefighters from Whatcom County Fire District 7 arrived at the intersection of Main Street and Barrett Road around 6:45 p.m.

Investigators said a driver turning northbound toward the freeway failed to yield while proceeding under a yellow arrow signal and struck another vehicle traveling west on Main Street.

Authorities reported minor injuries, and no one required transport to a hospital. Police cited the at-fault driver for driving without insurance.
