BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 5, 2025) – Sunday morning, an alarming DUI crash on Hageman Road and Fruitvale Avenue led to injuries.

The incident happened at around 7:03 a.m. at the intersection of Hageman Road and Fruitvale Avenue.

According to reports, an eastbound Mitsubishi Outlander drove into the intersection at a green light and collided with a southbound Mazda Miata.

Moreover, officers confirmed that a male passenger of the Outlander, identified as Nick, sustained major injuries and was rushed to a hospital in critical condition. Then, paramedics transported the female driver of the Outlander and her juvenile passenger, along with the driver of the Miata, to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Furthermore, the crash closed the intersection of Hageman Road and Fruitvale Avenue but has long since reopened.

Meanwhile, authorities believe that speed and intoxication played a role in the crash.
