WILLITS, CA (November 10, 2025) – Late Sunday morning, a crippling head-on crash on Highway 20 near Mile Marker 12 led to multiple injuries.

The incident involving a Honda CR-V and an SUV happened at about 11:32 a.m. on Highway 20 near Mile Marker 12.

Emergency crews responded to a Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) after a caller reported a crash, but was unsure of her location or if she and her husband were trapped.

Officials confirmed the crash involved seven patients. Four Advanced Life Support (ALS) ground ambulances and air ambulances were initially requested, though dispatchers said some units faced delays of up to 45 minutes due to high call volume.

Laytonville Fire’s 5120 ambulance was among those dispatched. As of 12:32 p.m., four patients had been transported to Coast Hospital by ground ambulance, while three others were still awaiting transport. Air ambulances were later cancelled.

Details on the victims’ conditions and the cause of the crash have not been released. CHP and multiple emergency agencies remain on scene.
