Injuries Sustained in Bakersfield Multi-Vehicle Accident on 24th Street and Oak Street

BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 30, 2025) – Wednesday afternoon, a disastrous 3-vehicle crash on 24th Street and Oak Street led to injuries.

The crash involving a semi-truck and two other vehicles happened at around 1:25 p.m. in the westbound lanes of 24th Street and Oak Street.

The crash caused traffic disruptions and trapped a victim inside a vehicle. Bakersfield firefighters worked to free the person, placing them onto a stretcher with paramedics.

A gray car sustained damage to the driver’s side, while the semi-truck had visible damage to its front left fender. Fire crews had to cut off the driver’s door to extricate the victim, according to BFD Battalion Chief Alexander Clark.

The Bakersfield Police Department also responded to the scene. Clark reported that the victims sustained minor to moderate injuries.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
