Serious Injuries Reported in 2-Vehicle Collision on Highway 28 [Maries County, MO]

Maries County, MO (December 21, 2025) — A Dixon motorcyclist suffered serious injuries Wednesday afternoon after a collision on Highway 28.

According to authorities, the shocking crash happened around 1:45 p.m. south of County Road 504.

Authorities reported that a 2000 GMC Sonoma entered the highway and failed to yield to a 2023 Honda Rebel 1100 motorcycle traveling through the area. The resulting collision left the rider badly hurt.

The 48-year-old motorcyclist was airlifted to University Hospital for treatment. Officials confirmed that he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
