Driver Arrested in Killeen Vehicle Collision
Killeen, TX (January 2, 2026) – Several were hurt following an I-14 multi-vehicle crash early Saturday morning.
It was around 2 a.m. on January 31 when the collision happened in Killeen.
Troopers said a red Dodge Charger was speeding east when it struck a gray GMC SUV and a black Mercedes-Benz SUV.
As a result, the Dodge Charger and Mercedes-Benz SUV rolled down an embankment.
Troopers said the GMC SUV left the road and spun down the embankment.
Afterward, all the vehicles stopped on Central Texas Expressway.
The Mercedes-Benz’s driver fled on foot and but was later arrested and found to be in possession of a stolen handgun and narcotics. The driver also had an active arrest warrant.
Moreover, the paramedics rushed a female passenger from the Mercedes-Benz to Baylor Scott & White Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Rescuers also freed the occupants of the Dodge Charger and rushed them to the same hospital. Its driver sustained serious injuries and was airlifted, while was transported by ambulance.
The two people in the GMC sustained minor injuries and were attended to at the scene.
