CHP Investigates Solo-Vehicle Crash on Highway 138 in Hesperia

Hesperia, CA (December 20, 2024) – Minor injuries reported in a crash on Highway 138. 

A vehicle overturned on Friday afternoon, temporarily blocking Highway 138 and causing a brief closure. 

The crash occurred in the westbound lanes of Highway 138, just east of the 15 Freeway, prompting a response from the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

According to CHP logs, the single-vehicle accident happened when the car reportedly sped around a curve and flipped over. 

Emergency responders were alerted to the scene at approximately 1:04 PM on December 20, 2024. 

Reports indicated that a family involved in the crash managed to extricate themselves from the overturned vehicle.

Fortunately, no major injuries were reported among those involved in the incident. 

By 1:10 PM, responders at the scene coordinated with a tow company to remove the vehicle, which had come to rest on its roof. 

Traffic in both the eastbound and westbound lanes was impacted as crews worked to clear the area.
