Injuries Sustained in Head-On Collision on San Francisquito Canyon Road [Los Angeles, CA]

Two-Vehicle Accident in Los Angeles

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (January 19, 2019) – Two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision on San Francisquito Canyon Road Saturday afternoon.
 
California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles County firefighters were dispatched to the scene at 1:45 PM on San Francisquito Canyon Road just north of Cooper Hill Drive.
 
Authorities identified the vehicles involved to be a dark gray Scion and a Maserati. CHP Officer Stephan Brandt stated that due to the wreckage part of San Francisquito Canyon Road was blocked and units had to divert traffic.
 
LA County Fire Captain Ron Singleton reported the occupants sustained injuries.
 
The identity of the drivers involved and their medical status has yet to be released to the public.
 
There has been no further information released regarding the circumstances leading up to the incident as investigations continue. It is unknown if alcohol and drugs were contributing factors in the accident.
