Crash on Interstate 15 Kills Two After High-Speed Rollover

Wildomar, CA (March 18, 2026) – 24-year-old Isaac Barrera and 34-year-old Eliyu Arellano died in a crash on Interstate 15.

Authorities identified two Wildomar men who died in a high-speed crash on the Temecula Valley (15) Freeway in Wildomar.

The collision happened around 2 a.m. on the northbound side of Interstate 15 near the Clinton Keith Road off-ramp, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The Riverside County coroner’s office identified the victims as 24-year-old Isaac Barrera and 34-year-old Eliyu Arellano, both of Wildomar. Officials pronounced both men dead at the scene.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Barrera was driving a 2007 Mercedes-Benz at speeds exceeding 100 mph when he made an unsafe lane change and sideswiped a Ford Escape. 

The impact caused the Mercedes to veer out of control and crash into the center median.

Investigators said the Mercedes then overturned several times. The violent rollover ejected both Barrera and his passenger, Arellano, from the vehicle. 

CHP officers reported that neither man was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The driver of the Ford Escape, identified only as a man from Santa Ana, suffered minor injuries.

Officials continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
