Mesa, AZ (November 12, 2025) — 20-year-old Isabella Batty is in critical condition after a hit-and-run crash on SR-87 late Thursday evening.

According to Arizona DPS, the frightening incident happened on northbound State Route 87 near Mesa Drive.

Reports say that Batty was rushed to the ICU at HonorHealth Scottsdale Osborn Medical Center, where she remains in critical condition. She is facing a long recovery with multiple surgeries required for injuries to her liver, spleen, and femur.

Authorities believe the suspect’s vehicle sustained significant damage in the crash, leaving a trail of coolant stretching about two miles. Investigators and the victim’s mother, Melanie Batty, are asking the public and local auto shops to come forward if they have any information. The driver has not yet been apprehended.
