Jalalat Honesty Dies in Fatal Crash in Grand Prairie
GRAND PRAIRIE, TX (December 3, 2025) — A tragic crash at Highway 287 and Prairie Ridge Boulevard claimed the life of Jalalat Honesty, 16, according to the Grand Prairie Police Department.
The collision occurred at approximately 5:40 p.m., when a Toyota passenger vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 287 attempted a left turn onto Prairie Ridge Boulevard. As the Toyota turned, it was struck by a southbound Ford truck.
All three individuals involved — the driver and passenger in the Toyota and the Ford driver — were rushed to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
Despite efforts by medical personnel, the passenger in the Toyota succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. This individual was later identified as 16-year-old Jalalat Honesty.
As of now, the identity of the deceased has not been released. The Ellis County Medical Examiner’s Office will disclose that information after the next of kin are notified.
Authorities stated that no charges are expected, though the investigation remains ongoing.
