Barstow, CA (April 9, 2026) – James Cheesebrew, 60, of Barstow, was killed in a Main Street accident Saturday night.

It was past 8 p.m. on April 4, when the deadly pedestrian crash happened at the 1100 block of East Main Street, near Muriel Drive and Yucca Avenue.

Investigators said Cheesebrew was attempting to cross the road when the vehicles struck him. Rescuers declared him dead at the scene.
