Janeth Campos Killed in SUV Crash With Cement Truck in San Antonio

San Antonio, TX (September 9, 2026) — 41-year-old Janeth Campos died after her SUV crashed into the back of a cement truck and caught fire in San Antonio last week.

The Bexar County Medical Examiner identified the victim as Campos on Tuesday. The crash happened shortly after 8 a.m. Wednesday along N Loop 1604 W near NW Military Highway on the Northwest Side.

Witnesses attempted to rescue Campos from the SUV, but the vehicle quickly became engulfed in flames. Firefighters arrived and extinguished the fire, but Campos was pronounced dead at the scene.

The circumstances leading to the collision remain under investigation.
