Jasmine Ruvalcaba Injured in Deadly Crash on 87th Street [Odessa, TX]

Odessa, TX (September 26, 2025) – A 9-year-old boy was killed while 30-year-old Jasmine Ruvalcaba was injured in a vehicle crash on 87th Street Thursday morning.

The fatal collision happened past 7 a.m. at the intersection with East Loop 338.

According to the authorities, a black Ford Maverick pickup driven by 25-year-old Adrian Colon was traveling south on E Loop 338. At the same time, silver Mitsubishi Outlander driven by Ruvalcaba was traveling north on the same road.

Ruvalcaba attempted to turn left onto 87th Street and was hit by Colon.

As a result, Ruvalcaba’s vehicle struck a concrete light pole base.

Colon, Ruvalcaba, and Ruvalcaba’s passenger, a 9-year-old boy, were all rushed to an area hospital. 

Sadly, the child died of his injuries.

Colon and Ruvalcaba, on the other hand, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. 

The authorities are conducting a further investigation into this fatal crash.
