Hoopa, CA (November 4, 2025) — Jason McCullough died early Friday morning after a pedestrian crash on Highway 96 east of Hostler Field Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal incident happened in the westbound lane of SR-96 around 1:04 a.m.

Reports say that McCullough was struck by a 2009 Volkswagen GLI, driven by Cory Tracy. McCullough sustained fatal injuries at the scene.

Authorities confirmed that Tracy was not impaired by drugs or alcohol at the time of the collision.
