Javier Morales-Perez Dies in 3-Car Crash on Highway 105

Navasota Man Killed in Three-Vehicle Crash on Highway 105 Near Plantersville

Plantersville, TX (June 27, 2025) — A three-vehicle crash on Highway 105 east of Plantersville claimed the life of 32-year-old Javier Morales-Perez of Navasota Friday morning and left two others with minor injuries.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened around 6:30 a.m. when Morales-Perez slowed his 2013 Honda CR-V to make a left turn while traveling east on Highway 105. A 2019 Subaru Outback traveling behind the Honda failed to slow down and rear-ended the SUV.

The impact pushed the Honda into the westbound lane, where it collided head-on with an approaching Ford F-350.

Morales-Perez died at the scene. The drivers of the Subaru and the Ford received treatment for minor injuries at the crash site.

The collision temporarily closed both directions of Highway 105 before the roadway reopened at approximately 11:05 a.m.
