SPRING VALLEY, CA (September 14, 2022) – Two Thursdays ago, Jay Espino suffered injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Campo Road.

The Spring Valley accident occurred just after 8:30 p.m. on Campo Road.

As 30-year-old Jay Espino exited a parking lot with his helmet and motorcycle lights on, he made a left through the median. However, a pickup with tinted windows then suddenly approached.

“Held my horn. I attempted to swerve left to avoid any collision, but by that time, it was already too late,” said Espino. “Knocked me off my bike. I did three rolls before I came to a complete stop.”

“He chose to pull up a little bit. I don’t know why, and then I heard his engine accelerate, and then he just left the scene,” added Espino.

After the crash, some bystanders helped him before an ambulance transported him to a hospital. As a result, he sustained a fractured collarbone and shoulder blade, bruised ribs, and a lacerated liver.
