Henderson County, TX (March 27, 2026) – Passenger Jayden Mirana, 19, of Murchison, was injured in an FM 317 deadly crash early Thursday.

It was around 2 a.m. when the fatal crash happened west of FM 1803.

According to the authorities, a Chevrolet pick-up truck driven by Daniel Rivero, 20, of Athens, was speeding west when it drove onto a left-hand curve and hit a tree.

Rivero was declared deceased at the scene, while his passenger, Mirana, sustained injuries and was taken to an Athens hospital.
