FAIRFIELD, CA (December 29, 2020) – Monday night, Sacramento woman Jeanne Dea died in an accident on Interstate 80 near Travis Boulevard.
 
The incident happened just about 11:30 p.m. The CHP’s Solano Officer said that the incident was a secondary crash after a spinout in wet conditions near Travis Boulevard exit.
 
According to reports, a black Honda Civic that entered eastbound 80 Freeway from the on-ramp. Then, it spun out of control, steered across all lanes, went into the center median. Then, it stopped in the fast lane.
 
Shortly after the crash, a Lexus heading in the fast lane hit the Honda. Then, the Honda driver and three occupants of the Lexus were hospitalized.
 
Meanwhile, 62-year-old Dea, a right rear passenger of the Lexus, was unresponsive at the hospital. Eventually, the authorities declared the woman dead at the scene. Moreover, the three others suffered minor injuries.
 
At this time, the cause of the crash between a Lexus and Honda hasn’t been determined. The authorities continue to investigate the crash.
