UNION CITY, CA (August 4, 2020) – Sunday night, 42-year-old Jeffrey Soriano of Union City died in a train crash on Smith Street.
 
According to reports, at around 8:58 p.m., a Union Pacific freight train struck Jeffrey Soriano. He was on the railroad tracks that cross Smith Street near Granger Avenue when the incident happened.
 
As a result of the crash, Jeffrey Soriano succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the detectives are still trying to find out why Soriano was on the tracks.
 
Furthermore, reports revealed that the occupants of the train were uninjured.
 
Also, the Union Pacific police currently handle the investigation of the fatal crash on Smith Street.
