Washougal, WA (August 31, 2020) – Sunday morning, Jennifer Doody sustained severe injuries in a motorcycle crash along Northeast Vernon Road.
 
The incident happened at about 11:25 a.m. on August 30. Dispatched officers responded on the scene reportedly along Northeast Vernon Road just west of Washougal River State Park near the Skamania County line.
 
Investigators say Jennifer Doody, with her husband Jason Doody, led a group of about eight motorcycles south on the road when a deer crossed in front of them. They crashed into the deer, killing it and causing both Jennifer and Jason to fall off the motorcycle.
 
Emergency crews transported Jennifer Doody to a hospital with critical injuries. Jason was also hurt but was not admitted.
 
Moreover, the operator of the motorcycle directly behind them also crashed. The victim suffered some minor injuries.
 
The sheriff’s office traffic unit continues to investigate the crash.
