Police Arrest Jerry Lee Whited in Tractor-Trailer Crash on San Bernardo Avenue [Laredo, TX]

Laredo, TX (June 9, 2026) – The authorities arrested Jerry Lee Whited, 55, following a hit-and-run crash on San Bernardo Avenue Saturday noon.

A Chevy passenger car and a tractor-trailer collided at the intersection with W Calton Road on June 6.

Troopers said a person riding the Chevy sustained minor injuries and was rushed to an area hospital, while the tractor-trailer’s driver, Whited, left the scene before they arrived.

Police later located the tractor-trailer at a trucking business on Riverside Drive and arrested Whited. 

Officers booked Whited with an accident involving damage to a vehicle charge.
