Goleta, CA (June 30, 2025) Early Sunday morning, 68-year-old Jeselyn Invina of Goleta was involved in a fatal crash on Calle Real.

According to authorities, the deadly crash happened approximately 1 a.m. at the 7300 block of Calle Real.

Reports say that a vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian in Western Goleta, as confirmed by the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s deputies and emergency responders arrived at the scene after receiving a report of a solo-vehicle crash.

Authorities say that Invina was driving westbound on Calle Real when she looked away from the road due to the glare of oncoming headlights. Her vehicle veered off the roadway and came to a stop in a nearby field.

While investigating the crash, deputies discovered an adult female pedestrian approximately 300 feet from where the vehicle had stopped.
