Horrific Pedestrian Crash on Braun Road Claims a Life

San Antonio, TX (April 11, 2025) – 71-year-old Jesse Hartshorne was killed Wednesday evening in a horrific pedestrian crash on Braun Road.

According to authorities, the deadly incident happened just before 9:30 p.m. in the 9700 block of Braun Road.

Reports say that a vehicle struck and killed Hartshorne after he crossed the poorly lit area.

As he crossed, one vehicle slowed to avoid him, but he continued into another lane where a second vehicle fatally hit him.

Emergency responders transported Hartshorne into an ambulance, where he was later pronounced dead.

The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that Hartshorne died from blunt force injuries to the head and ruled the death an accident. Both drivers involved remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
