Spokane Valley Head-On Crash Claims Life of 35-Year-Old Woman on Trent Avenue

Spokane Valley, WA (June 8, 2025) — 35-year-old Jessica Guilford of Spokane lost her life following a head-on collision Saturday evening on East Trent Avenue in Spokane Valley.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the crash happened shortly after 5 p.m. near the intersection of Trent Avenue and Coleman Road. Investigators said an 18-year-old driver traveling eastbound in a Chrysler 200 crossed into the westbound lane and collided head-on with a Kia Soul driven by Jessica L. Guilford.

Emergency responders transported both drivers to Sacred Heart Medical Center. Guilford later succumbed to her injuries, while the other driver sustained injuries in the crash.

Authorities reported that neither drugs nor alcohol contributed to the collision. Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.

The crash temporarily shut down Trent Avenue near Dora Road as crews worked at the scene, before the roadway was reopened.
