Jessica Rodriguez Killed in Pedestrian Accident on 67th Avenue [Glendale, AZ]

Mother Dead, Kid Injured in Pedestrian Crash Near Bethany Home Road

 
GLENDALE, AZ (August 23, 2019) – Jessica Rodriguez died in a pedestrian accident on 67th Avenue on Friday evening.
 
According to the Deputies, the accident happened between Bethany Home and Camelback Roads at approximately 8:30 PM. Based on a report, Rodriguez, 30, walked in the crosswalk with her child at the intersection when they were struck by a passing car.
 
The paramedics sent Rodriguez to the hospital, where she died after sustaining life-threatening injuries.
 
In addition, Rodriguez’s child suffered minor injuries and also transported to the hospital as a precaution.
 
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with the police.
 
Glendale police say speed is not believed to be a factor in the crash. Officials ordered a clean-up at the scene and began their investigation. However, police have not ruled out impairment.
