Jimmy Harris of Plantersville Dead in CR 302 Collision [Grimes County, TX]

Grimes County, TX (April 19, 2025) – 63-year-old Jimmy Harris of Plantersville lost his life following a CR 302 collision Thursday night.

DPS officers said the fatal crash happened about 8:12 p.m. near Todd Mission.

According to the authorities, a 2002 GMC Yukon driven by a 19-year-old woman was traveling west attempted to pass three vehicles.

The GMC collided head-on with the motorcycle at the crest of a hill.

The motorcyclist, Jimmy Harris, was declared deceased at the crash scene while the Yukon driver sustained minor injuries.

Officers are conducting a further investigation and possible charges were pending.
