62-YearOld Concordia Woman Killed in Lafayette County Motorcycle Crash

Lafayette County , MO (November 20, 2025) — On Friday afternoon, a 62-year-old female passenger from Concordia, was killed in a crash on Route PP, and 59-year-old Jimmy Peavy Jr. of Portland faces charges after the fatal motorcycle crash.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the deadly crash happened at the intersection of Route PP and Panther Creek Road.

Reports say that a motorcycle collided with an SUV. The Concordia woman, who was riding as a passenger on the motorcycle, was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the 68-year-old driver from Knob Noster was airlifted to a Kansas City hospital with serious injuries.

Investigators say the motorcycle tried to pass an SUV driven by Peavy Jr., just as Peavy began turning left onto Panther Creek Road. The motorcycle struck the SUV’s driver side and veered off the roadway.

Peavy reportedly drove away after the crash but was stopped shortly afterward by Concordia Police along U.S. Highway 40. He was arrested on suspicion of leaving the scene of a fatal crash. A court date has not yet been set.
