84-Year-Old Joan Allison Dead in Head-On Crash on Green Valley Road [El Dorado County, CA]

El Dorado County, CA (May 4, 2025) – 84-year-old Joan Allison was killed in a head-on crash on Green Valley Road Saturday morning.

The deadly vehicle crash happened at 7:54 a.m. Saturday on Green Valley Road in El Dorado Hills.

Investigators said a 2023 Dodge Charger driven by 34-year-old Cheyenne Wright was eastbound on Green Valley Road while a 2023 Toyota Camry was westbound on the same road. Both vehicles were traveling about 55 miles per hour. 

Witnesses told CHP that Wright was driving erratically and crossed over the double yellow lines. Her vehicle then slammed into the Honda.

The Toyota’s driver, Joan Allison, was killed at the scene.

Cheyenne Wright sustained major injuries, while her two passengers, a 7-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl, have minor injuries. They were all transported to a hospital.

The authorities arrested Cheyenne Wright. 

CHP is investigating if alcohol and/or drugs were factors in the collision.
