VALENCIA, CA (August 10, 2022) -Tuesday afternoon, a multi-vehicle crash on Avenue Scott and Rye Canyon Avenue involved John Chavez.

The incident involved an AT&T service truck with one driver, a Faucetman Plumbing Company service truck with two occupants, a silver four-door sedan with two occupants, and a silver Honda Civic with one occupant.
 
After the crash, the driver of the Faucetman Plumbing truck was momentarily trapped. Eventually, responders rescued him, and appeared to have minor injuries. Meanwhile, the passenger was semi-conscious with injuries to his face.
 
John Chavez, the Honda driver, said the driver of the Faucetman Plumbing truck ran a red light at a high speed. Then, it smashed into the AT&T truck. Reports revealed that Chavez works around the corner and was heading home when the accident happened.
 
“Yeah, he ran the red light and the AT&T truck was pulling into the intersection to make his left and he just came barreling through,” added Chavez. “I see him comin’ and he wasn’t even slowing down, smacked him hard.”
 
Chavez estimated the driver traveled around 50 mph upon impact.
