Killeen, TX (December 23, 2024) – 53-year-old John Darrel Schultz of Kempner was killed in a DWI collision at Killeen Mall late Saturday afternoon.
It was around 5 pm when a Texas Trooper attempted to stop a male DWI driver in a black pick-up truck.
The vehicle drove through the Killeen Mall and the glass doors of JCPenny hitting four people.
Moreover, a Texas Trooper and Killen Police officer continued on foot to stop the driver from striking people.
Later on, the authorities engaged in gunfire to eliminate the threat.
People from six to seventy-five years old were transported with serious to minor injuries.
Later that evening, a walk-in patient went to the hospital with injuries reportedly from the DWI accident.
John Darrel Schultz was killed in this incident.
