1 Dead in Phoenix Multi-Vehicle Accident near 35th Avenue and Bell Road

PHOENIX, AZ (May 28, 2026) – Tuesday night, John David Segovia died in a horrific fiery crash near 35th Avenue and Bell Road.

The incident involving three vehicles happened at about 8:00 p.m. near 35th Avenue and Bell Road.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found an unresponsive man. The Phoenix Fire Department pronounced him dead at the scene. Authorities identified the victim as John David Segovia, 28.

Police said three women from one of the involved vehicles were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Preliminary investigators believe Segovia was traveling at a high rate of speed when he collided with a vehicle that was making a left turn into a private driveway. Police said there were no signs of impairment.
