Tucson, AZ (April 3, 2026) — 62-year-old John Forrest May died Wednesday afternoon following a collision involving two pickup trucks on Tucson’s west side.

The crash happened around 3 p.m. along West Grant Road near North 15th Avenue, just west of North Oracle Road. May was traveling east when another pickup truck, a Chevrolet Silverado, turned left into his path, causing a violent impact.

Emergency responders arrived, but May succumbed to his injuries. The other driver was not hurt. Investigators later determined the driver was not impaired but took the individual into custody on suspicion of causing a fatality due to a traffic violation.
