Driver John Kelly and Passenger Injured in Rollover Crash on E Appleway Blvd [Spokane, WA]

Spokane, WA (June 19, 2026) – 40-year-old John Kelly and his passenger were critically injured following a vehicle crash on E Appleway Blvd Tuesday afternoon.

It was around 2 p.m. on June 16 when the solo-rollover collision happened at S. Farr Road.

Immediately, emergency rescuers responded to the scene and found Kelly’s passenger, an adult female, trapped underneath the car. 

Rescuers also found Kelly pinned in the driver’s compartment area. 

Kelly and his passenger were both freed and rushed to the hospital with serious and life-threatening injuries.

The passenger was taken to Harbor View with critical injuries.

Moreover, investigators said Kelly was driving an eastbound Nissan on Appleway Blvd at approximately 70 miles per hour. The Nissan then swerved sharply, struck a curb and rolled several times. 

The authorities are conducting a further investigation into this accident.
