Man Arrested After Pursuit Crash Injures Three in Comal County

Comal County, TX (September 2, 2026) — 20-year-old Johnny Jacobo faces multiple charges after a police pursuit ended in a three-vehicle crash on Highway 46 in Comal County, Texas.

Texas Department of Public Safety troopers responded around 10 a.m. Monday after receiving reports of a Ford F-150 allegedly following federal immigration officers and driving aggressively. Troopers located the truck on State Highway 46 and attempted a traffic stop.

The driver, identified as Johnny Acuna Jacobo of Lockhart, allegedly fled, leading troopers on a pursuit. At the intersection of State Highway 46 and Mission Valley Road, he failed to yield and collided with three vehicles.

The crash seriously injured two people, who went to nearby hospitals for treatment. A third person also suffered injuries and planned to seek medical care independently.

Jacobo fled on foot into a wooded area but officers found him after a short search. He also suffered injuries in the crash and went to a hospital before authorities booked him into the Comal County Jail.

Authorities charged Jacobo with evading in a vehicle, evading arrest or detention, leaving the scene of an injury crash without providing aid, and possessing a controlled substance. DPS continues to investigate the collision.
