Jonah Ray Huitron Arrested in 3-Car Collision on 24th Street [Odessa, TX]

Odessa, TX (October 14, 2025) — 19-year-old Jonah Ray Huitron of Odessa faces multiple charges after a three-vehicle crash Friday night left his passenger with a broken lower spine and several others injured.

According to authorities, the shocking incident happened around 7:26 p.m. at 24th Street and County Road West.

Investigators said Huitron was speeding and weaving through traffic in a black Hyundai Sonata when he struck a white vehicle, veered into oncoming lanes, and crashed into a Chevrolet Silverado and an Acura sedan.

Police arrested Huitron for intoxication assault with a vehicle and driving while license invalid with prior convictions.

Huitron, a 38-year-old woman driving the Silverado, and a 17-year-old passenger in that vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Huitron’s 20-year-old passenger suffered a broken spine and was hospitalized in serious condition.

Officers found empty liquor bottles inside Huitron’s car and noted signs of intoxication, including slurred speech and the smell of alcohol. He was taken to a local hospital, then booked into the Ector County Law Enforcement Center and later released on bond.
