Officers Declare Rider Dead in Abilene Tragic Collision

Abilene, TX (May 17, 2026) – Jordan Vaughn, 23, of Abilene, was killed in a Pine Street motorcycle crash Thursday afternoon.

It was past 2 p.m. when the deadly crash happened at the 2900 block area.

Investigators said Vaughn was struck by an SUV while it was turning east onto Anson Avenue.

Sadly, Vaughn was declared dead at the crash scene.

Moreover, officers do not believe DUI was a factor in the collision.
