21-Year-Old Man Killed in Crash on 57 and 60 Freeway Transition Road in Diamond Bar

Diamond Bar, CA (May 17, 2025) — 21-year-old Jose Gonzalez Gutierrez died early Saturday morning following a crash on the transition road from the northbound Orange (57) Freeway to the eastbound Pomona (60) Freeway in Diamond Bar.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision involving a white Chevrolet Tahoe SUV and a black Honda Civic sedan was reported around 1:48 a.m. Investigators said the SUV later struck the center divider, while the location of the sedan immediately after the crash remained unclear.

Emergency responders pronounced Gutierrez dead at the scene. Officials have not released additional details about the circumstances leading up to the collision.
